What is Qigong?

Qigong literally means Life Energy Cultivation. Drawing from Chinese medicine, philosophy and martial arts, Qigong is a holistic system, made of simple body postures, slow movements and breathing, that can be practiced by anyone at any age, for meditation, health and inner-balance.

What to expect?

We will be keeping the sessions to 45 min in length, starting with a slow warmup and then picking a few Qigong exercises at a time.

When?

The Wednesday class is on temporary hold. It will be renewed but likely at a different time and location. Please email me if you want to be notified when this class is continued. 

Where?

The classes at The Matthews House are discontinued at this time. Please email me if you wish to be notified once the class resumes, date/time and new location.

What to wear?

Comfortable clothing preferred, but you can also wear work attire (removing the jacket and tie will suffice) if you are on your way to work. No need for special shoes. You can practice with any shoes, sneakers, 5-toes, socks or bare feet.

Who is instructing?

Ronen Divon is a seasoned Tai Chi and Qigong practitioner and instructor. Ronen has been instructing Tai Chi, Qigong and Yoga since 1995. Continuing to explore and practice these ancient paths as well as other Eastern methods and philosophies, Ronen stresses in his classes elements of relaxation, elongation and breathing. Tai Chi and Qigong instructed include practice of the basic moves, various soft and hard Qigong, the short Yang (24) standard form, meditative and breathings techniques, as well as some elements of the Dao and I-Ching philosophies behind the practice.
Ronen’s primary interest is in individual and personal exploration of the body, and through it, a glimpse into the soul.
